On Sunday, September 22 I joined many others in the community to support the Nikhil Badlani Foundation at the 14th Annual STOP for Nikhil.
This is a wonderful community event, and I have often participated in the past. It’s always moving to hear from the Badlanis and to see their continued commitment to making our community better.
As usual, both district and municipal leaders were on hand to support the event. The event raised $50,000, and I’m thrilled that the district could continue to be a partner in this.
As a daily runner, I know how important traffic safety is. The streets of West Orange are not always safe for runners, bikers, and for our students walking home. But together, we can work to change that.
I continue to be impressed by our students, who have advocated for statewide legislation to make our streets safer. It’s not easy to get things done in Trenton – but the Nikhil Badlani Youth Advisory Board has.
